Wealth Utilization AnalysisTM

nWealth preservation and planning happens because a prudent person decides to do something about their circumstance, declining to leave their financial future to chance or luck. Our strategic thinking model provides a chance to put specifics on the vision.

Who Should Utilize WUA?

n1.   Those who would like to sell appreciated investment assets (or transfer within the family) but hesitate due to the  large tax bite.

n2.   Those who wish to have their rental properties, accumulating more efficiently for reinvestment in other properties, as and when

they choose, without the restrictions of a Section 1031 Exchange.

n3.   Those who recognize that it is not prudent to expose their investment assets to the possibility of a forced sale to pay estate

      taxes or creditors.

The WUA Process

A Wealth Utilization Analysisis a carefully orchestrated study of transactions, documents, entities and relationships that is designed to identify and measure some unique aspects of a client’s asset ownership, asset utilization, financial objectives, and non-financial objectives.  Our goal is to ultimately assist a client to achieve financial and multi-generational inter-personal objectives with substantially less risk and tax erosion than has been previously achieved.

The recommendations that flow from a typical Wealth Utilization Analysis generally employ a wide variety of compatible features, which can be selected and integrated on an as-needed basis.  As a result each fully implemented Wealth Utilization Plan, while serving the same basic objective of arranging financial activity in a more effective, risk-efficient, and tax-efficient manner, looks, feels and functions differently in response to each client’s unique circumstance and objectives.

Therefore our approach for each client is to first discover what financial and non-financial objectives are desired, what assets we might have to work with, what ownership and tax barriers seem to erode the opportunity, and what related non-tax objectives are involved.  Equipped with a thorough understanding of the above we can then select from a variety of components we have available and begin custom “reconstruction” of the client’s asset and entity relationships.

We provide a step-by-step presentation of a basic analysis and plan, so each client can obtain a good understanding of our methods.  There are multitudes of variations since each case tends to have its own unique set of challenges and objectives.
